We are located in the Deuxieme Maison (labeled DM on map) building on the Modesto A. Maidique campus of Florida International University. A printable map of campus is here

Thank you for taking the time to participate in our research!

Our labs are located on the second floor of the Deuxieme Maison (DM) building at the FIU Modesto A. Maidique Campus in Miami. We are in the yellow/orange building located to the west of the Graham Center. There are elevators available.

Driving Directions:

If you have a GPS system, you can navigate to 11000 Southwest 8th Street, Miami, FL 33174.

From Miami International Airport or Downtown Miami – via 836


Take 836 (Dolphin Expressway) West
Exit onto 826 (Palmetto Expressway) South\
 Immediately get into the right lane

Exit at SW 8th Street (Tamiami Trail) –West

Turn left onto 112th Avenue 


From Homestead, the Doral or Weston – via the Florida Turnpike


Take the Florida Turnpike 

Exit at SW 8th Street (East)

Head East and stay in the right lane
Turn right onto 112th Avenue 


From Ft. Lauderdale or Boca Raton – via I-95


Take I-95 South to 863 West
 Take 836 West to the Florida Turnpike South
 Head South and exit at SW 8th Street (East)
 Head East and stay in the right lane Turn right onto 112th Avenue

Take the Florida Turnpike South

Exit at SW 8th Street (East)

Head East and stay in the right lane
Turn right onto 112th Avenue

Once you have turned onto 112th Avenue (FIU Main Entrance), Directions to the Psychology Labs Parking Space:

From SW 8th Street to DM Room 248

To find our free parking next to the DM building, take SW 8th St and turn into the FIU Main Entrance. Make first right onto Campus Dr. Turn left onto Panther Way. Make the second left into a small parking lot, and use any of the four reserved “Psychology Labs” parking spaces.

From SW 117th Avenue to DM Room 248

To find our free parking next to the DM building, take SW 117th Ave and turn into the 17th St FIU Entrance. Make first right onto Campus Drive. Turn left onto Panther Way. Go straight through the 4-way stop sign and turn left onto SW 113th Ave (at the football stadium, which will be on your right). Turn right onto Panther Way. Make the second left into a small parking lot, and use any of the four reserved “Psychology Labs” parking spaces.

*Parents may either call us from the parking space and we'll meet them out there with the parking pass, or they can just come in and we'll take the pass out to their car.

Walking directions from Psychology Labs parking space:

Walk onto the sidewalk opposite the space, walk forward into the gold painted building "Deuxieme Maison" (DM on Map), Room #248 (second floor).
